Tenismenul Alexander Zverev critică arbitrajul electronic la Madrid

Tenismanul german Alexander Zverev, nr. 2 mondial, a declarat că a avut parte de o "disfuncționalitate" a sistemului de arbitraj electronic în timpul meciului său din turul al treilea al turneului ATP Masters 1.000 de la Madrid. Acest incident a avut loc în meciul său cu spaniolul Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, clasat pe locul 29 în ATP, notează newsbucuresti.ro.

Conform declarațiilor lui Zverev, în momentul în care conducea cu 5-4 în setul decisiv, a apărut o problemă cu tehnologia utilizată pentru a confirma deciziile. Aceasta a dus la o confuzie care a influențat desfășurarea jocului.

Zverev a subliniat importanța arbitrajului corect în meciurile de tenis, mai ales la acest nivel. „Este frustrant când astfel de lucruri se întâmplă”, a spus el în urma meciului, exprimându-și nemulțumirea față de incident.

Rezultatul final al meciului nu a fost afectat atât de mult de această problemă, iar Zverev a reușit să câștige partida. Totuși, el a cerut îmbunătățiri în sistemele de arbitraj electronic pentru a evita incidente similare pe viitor.
