Absența starului Kylian Mbappe, care a fost menajat după o intervenție pentru o extracție dentară, a fost un aspect notabil al meciului. Deși bascii au avut câteva ocazii, au fost incapabili să pătrundă în apărarea bine organizată a oaspeților.
