UPDATE: This story originally stated that Drake set the record for most streamed song in a single day for 2026, but Spotify has since said “Make Them Cry” did not set the record. “The initial streams review process was completed manually, resulting in streams from two different album tracks being combined,” a statement from Spotify on X reads. “Drake continues to hold the record for most-streamed artist and album in a single day in 2026. We apologize for the error and have implemented updated review procedures to prevent similar issues in the future.” blogherads.adq.push(function () { blogherads .defineSlot( 'medrecnativemini', 'gpt-dsk-tab-ros-midarticle1-uid0' ) .setTargeting( 'pos', ) .setTargeting( 'viewable', 'yes' ) .setSubAdUnitPath("ros\/mid-article") .addSize(,,,]) .setClsOptimization("minsize") ; }); Related Michael Jackson Holds U.K. Albums Chart Crown as Compilation Scores Second Week at No. 1 Daddy Yankee Is Ed Sheeran's Surprise Guest in Puerto Rico & More Uplifting Moments in Latin Music Sam Fender & Olivia Dean Set New U.K. Chart Record as 'Rein Me In' Earns 11th Week at No. 1 Explore Drake See latest videos, charts and news Drake is back to his record-setting ways. On Friday (May 15), Spotify announced that Drake has set the single-day records for most-streamed artist and album on the platform in 2026, thanks to his first new solo project since 2023. The single-day 2026 album honor goes to Iceman — one of three albums the rapper dropped first thing Friday, in addition to surprise releases Maid of Honour and Habibti. “On May 15th, ICEMAN became Spotify’s most-streamed album of 2026 in a single day, and Drake became the most-streamed artist in a single day in 2026 so far,” Spotify announced across their social channels. On May 15th, ICEMAN became Spotify's most-streamed album of 2026 in a single day, and Drake became the most-streamed artist in a single day in 2026 so far. pic.twitter.com/spre2KfWnW The trio of albums marks Drake’s first solo project since 2023’s For All the Dogs. Last year, he released Some Sexy Songs 4 U, a joint album with fellow Canadian musician PARTYNEXTDOOR. Before the Iceman arrival, BTS’ ARIRANG became the platform’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2026 upon its release in March. Coincidentally, Drake name-drops the South Korean boy band on his new project, on “Make Them Cry.” In an Instagram Stories clip posted by BTS’ V on Friday, he’s hanging out with J-Hope, dancing while listening to the song, when Drizzy spits, “I’m feeling like BTS, ’cause it took the whole career for me to be so discovered.” The two performers freeze and simultaneously look at the camera, stunned. It’s a commentary, or at least it appeared to be, on the ephemeral nature of pop music: Gaga spends the entire performance celebrating the genre’s artifice by leaning into its flashy tropes, only to burn it all down.

The second, “Dutton Ranch,” maintains the tone of the original while transplanting the action to Texas — not coincidentally, the home of “Yellowstone” creator and “Dutton Ranch” executive producer Taylor Sheridan and the backdrop of the prolific showrunner’s swashbuckling oil drama “Landman.” Given that the presence of “Yellowstone” protagonist Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) was enough to make “Marshals” a major hit, regardless of the stylistic shift, “Dutton Ranch” seems like even more of a sure bet for streamer Paramount+.
