Jucătoarea română de tenis, Jaqueline Cristian, a fost eliminată din turneul WTA 500 de la Merida, Mexic, după o partidă dificilă împotriva spanioloaicei Paula Badosa, care este a doua favorită a competiției. Badoja a câștigat meciul cu un scor clar de 6-2, 6-1, în urma a 67 de minute de joc intens.
