Ilie Bolojan discută despre accesul României în Programul Visa Waiver

Președintele interimar al României, Ilie Bolojan, a fost întrebat despre posibila întârziere a intrării României în Programul Visa Waiver al SUA, după ședința Consiliului European de la Bruxelles. Bolojan a menționat că a primit o informare de la Ministerul Afacerilor Externe și că va urma o „comunicare comună a celor implicați”.

Ministerul Afacerilor Externe a subliniat că Ambasada României la Washington este într-un dialog activ cu autoritățile americane. Conform unei informații publicate de newsbucuresti.ro, Ambasada este în contact direct cu Departamentul pentru Securitate Internă (DHS), care are responsabilitatea de a implementa aderarea României la program.

În acest context, Bolojan a reiterat importanța dialogului și cooperării dintre România și Statele Unite, subliniind că procesul de intrare în programul Visa Waiver este o prioritate.
