Retragerea jucătoarelor din echipa Statelor Unite pentru Billie Jean King Cup

Jucătoarele Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins și McCartney Kessler s-au retras din echipa Statelor Unite pentru competiția feminină Billie Jean King Cup, conform unui anunț al Federației americane de tenis (USTA), informează newsbucuresti.ro. Această schimbare vine pe fondul unei pregătiri intense pentru turneu.

Pentru a înlocui jucătoarele retrase, echipa americană a cooptat-o pe Alycia Parks, Bernarda Pera și Hailey Baptiste. Aceste trei jucătoare se vor alătura colegele lor Asia Muhammad și Desirae Krawczyk, completând astfel selecția pentru această competiție importantă.

Retrarea jucătoarelor este un moment semnificativ pentru echipă, având în vedere că Pegula și Collins sunt jucătoare de top.
