Primul caz de îmbolnăvire cu HMPV confirmat la Oradea

Un prim caz de infectare cu metapneumovirusul uman (HMPV) a fost identificat recent în Oradea, informează Bihoreanul. Virusul este cunoscut pentru caracterul său contagios și poate provoca complicații serioase, mai ales în rândul vârstnicilor, copiilor și persoanelor care au un sistem imunitar slăbit.

Conform declarațiilor lui Călin Sonea, șeful Direcției de Sănătate Publică (DSP) Bihor, diagnosticul a fost confirmat în urma analizelor efectuate la Institutul Cantacuzino. "Astăzi a fost confirmat primul diagnostic de HMPV la un pacient din Bihor," a precizat Sonea în cadrul unei comunicări pentru Bihoreanul.

Autoritățile locale au fost informate și au început să ia măsurile necesare pentru a preveni răspândirea virusului, având în vedere riscurile pe care acesta le prezintă pentru sănătatea publică.
