Premier League planifică implementarea tehnologiei semiautomate pentru detectarea ofsaidului

Premier League ar putea introduce tehnologia semiautomata de detectare a ofsaidului înainte de încheierea sezonului 2024-2025, în urma progreselor semnificative realizate în testarea acesteia. Tony Scholes, responsabilul pentru fotbal al organizației, a declarat pentru AFP că implementarea tehnologiei este o prioritate.

În cursul anului trecut, cluburile din Premier League au convenit în unanimitate să adopte această tehnologie în cadrul unei adunări speciale. Aceasta vine ca un răspuns la nevoia de a îmbunătăți corectitudinea deciziilor arbitrilor pe teren.
