Irina Begu pierde în prima rundă a turneului WTA de la Madrid

Jucătoarea română de tenis, Irina Begu, a fost învinsă în prima rundă a turneului WTA 1.000 de la Madrid de către franțuzoaica Diane Parry. Meciul s-a încheiat cu scorul de 6-3, 6-4, după o dispută de o oră și 36 de minute. Conform newsbucuresti.ro, performanța lui Begu nu a fost suficientă pentru a-i asigura o calificare în turul următor.

În vârstă de 34 de ani, Begu ocupă locul 75 în clasamentul WTA. Această înfrângere vine într-un turneu foarte prestigios, care are premii de 7.854.000 de euro. Adversara sa, Diane Parry, a arătat un joc solid și a reușit să își construiască avantajul necesar pentru a încheia meciul în favoarea ei.

Deși Begu a început meciul cu încredere, franțuzoaica a reușit să preia controlul și să se impună fără a ceda vreun set. Aceasta este o altă provocare pentru jucătoarea română, care spera să facă o performanță mai bună pe terenul de la Madrid.
