Filip Cristian Jianu eliminat în optimile de finală la Manama

Tenismanul român Filip Cristian Jianu a fost învins miercuri de croatul Duje Ajdukovic, într-o confruntare disputată în optimile de finală ale turneului challenger de la Manama, Bahrain, care oferă premii totale de 200.000 de dolari. Meciul s-a încheiat cu scorul de 6-1, 2-6, 7-5, după aproape două ore de joc, durată de 1 oră și 54 de minute.

Jianu, în vârstă de 23 de ani și aflat pe locul 229 în clasamentul ATP, a luptat să își păstreze șansele în meci, dar a cedat în fața unei prestații solide a adversarului său. Această înfrângere marchează o etapă importantă în cariera tânărului jucător român, care va căuta să își îmbunătățească performanțele în viitoarele turnee.
