Peste 1 milion de români își sărbătoresc onomastica de Sfantul Mucenic Gheorghe

Miercuri, mai mult de 1 milion de români celebrează ziua onomastică de Sfantul Mucenic Gheorghe. Conform Directiei Generale de Evidenta Persoanelor, numele cel mai frecvent întâlnite în rândul bărbaților sunt Gheorghe, George și Georgian.

Statisticile arată că 402.099 de bărbați poartă numele de Gheorghe, urmat de George cu 159.761 și Georgian cu 29.408. Alte nume de bărbați care își celebrează onomastica includ Gheorghita, Georgel, Gigi, Gigel și Georgica.

De asemenea, femeile care își sărbătoresc onomastica de Sf. Gheorghe sunt în număr semnificativ. Cele mai multe dintre ele poartă numele Georgiana (155.949) și Georgeta (114.809). Alte nume de femei sunt Gheorghita, Gina, Geta și Gherghina, fiecare având un număr considerabil de purtătoare.
