Comitetul Internațional Olimpic recunoaște provizoriu federatia World Boxing

Comitetul Internațional Olimpic (CIO) a făcut un anunț important miercuri, recunoscând "cu titlu provizoriu" federația internațională World Boxing, care a fost înființată în 2023, conform AFP. Această decizie marchează un pas semnificativ în cadrul sportului de box la nivel mondial.

World Boxing, care include 78 de federații membre, este acum considerată de CIO organismul care "guvernează boxul la nivel mondial în cadrul mișcării olimpice". Aceasta reprezintă o schimbare majoră în peisajul sportiv, având în vedere că IBA, fosta organizație de conducere, este acum interzisă să se revină în poziția sa anterioară.

Astfel, CIO pare să închidă orice ușă pentru IBA, subliniind importanța noii structuri. Acest anunț reflectă o nouă direcție pentru boxul olimpic și pentru sportivii care activează în acest domeniu.
