Biserica Ortodoxă Română canonizează 16 noi sfinți, inclusiv pe părintele Arsenie Boca

Marți, 16, Biserica Ortodoxă Română a anunțat canonizarea a 16 noi sfinți, printre care se numără și părintele Arsenie Boca, care vor fi sărbătoriți în calendarul bisericesc. Evenimentul a avut loc la finalul Sfintei Liturghii, oficiată de Preafericitul Părinte Patriarh Daniel, cu ocazia aniversării Centenarului Patriarhiei Române.

La slujbă au participat membri ai Adunării Naționale Bisericești, iar pe Dealul Mitropoliei s-au adunat sute de credincioși pentru a lua parte la această sărbătoare importantă. Conform unui comunicat emis de Basilica, acest moment istoric marchează un pas semnificativ în istoria Bisericii Ortodoxe Române.
