Alexandra Eala, tânăra filipineză, ajunge în semifinalele Miami Open

Jucătoarea filipineză Alexandra Eala (140 WTA) a surprins pe toată lumea la turneul Miami Open (WTA 1.000). Conform newsbucuresti.ro, Eala s-a calificat în semifinalele competiției din Florida, după o victorie impresionantă asupra polonezei Iga Swiatek, locul doi mondial. Meciul s-a încheiat cu scorul de 6-2, 7-5.

La doar 19 ani, Eala a obținut astfel a treia victorie a sa la Miami, consolidându-și statutul de revelație a acestui turneu dotat cu premii totale de 8.963.700 de dolari.
