Un avion Air India s-a prăbușit joi, la scurt timp după decolare, pe un aeroport din statul Gujarat, în vestul Indiei. Potrivit mass-media locale, la bordul avionului se aflau cel puțin 242 de pasageri. Este vorba despre zborul AI 171 pe ruta Ahmedabad - Londra, operat de un Boeing 787.

Un purtător de cuvânt al companiei Air India a confirmat incidentul, dar nu a oferit detalii suplimentare despre cauza prăbușirii. Imagini surprinse de presa locală arată un fum negru gros ridicându-se pe cer în apropierea aeroportului.
