FIFA își cere scuze după controversa legată de harta Crimeei

Federatia Internationala de Fotbal (FIFA) a emis o declarație de regret după ce, vineri, a prezentat o hartă în care Crimeea era arătată ca parte a Rusiei, în timpul transmisiunii live a tragerii la sorți pentru preliminariile Cupei Mondiale din 2026.

Reacția Ucrainei a fost rapidă și vehementă. Ministrul de externe al Ucrainei a cerut FIFA să emită scuze publice pentru greșelile în prezentare.

Conflictul legat de Crimeea a început în 2014, când această zonă a fost anexată ilegal de Rusia, acțiune considerată drept o încălcare a dreptului internațional. În continuare, tensiunile dintre cele două țări rămân ridicate, iar gesturile care sugerează o recunoaștere a suveranității Rusiei asupra Crimeei sunt interpretate de Ucraina ca fiind provocatoare.
